{"id":1062,"date":"2011-01-10T22:05:06","date_gmt":"2011-01-10T21:05:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hackingsap.com\/blog\/?p=1062"},"modified":"2013-01-29T20:09:52","modified_gmt":"2013-01-29T18:09:52","slug":"xcelsius-2011-bi4-sap-crystal-dashboard-design-direct-query-binding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hackingsap.com\/blog\/xcelsius-2011-bi4-sap-crystal-dashboard-design-direct-query-binding","title":{"rendered":"Xcelsius 2011: Direct query binding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Somewhere in the first half of 2011 the next version of SAP Crystal Dashboard Design (Xcelsius) will be released as part of the new <strong>SAP BusinessObjects 4.0<\/strong> (<a href=\"http:\/\/search.twitter.com\/search?q=%23BI4\" target=\"_blank\">#<strong>BI4<\/strong><\/a>) portfolio. SAP hasn&#8217;t given us a release date yet, but they did put a few demo&#8217;s and tutorials online that already give an impression of what is coming.<\/p>\n<p>The most important new feature to Xcelsius seems to be an additional way to connect a dashboard to a <strong>Universe<\/strong>. Additionally it will be possible to bind a component <strong>directly<\/strong> to a query, so <strong>without<\/strong> using the spreadsheet at all!
