SAP TechEd 2020 was a completely virtual event and we (the Interdobs DWC team) were given the opportunity to host session CM103 to talk a bit about our experiences with SAP Data Warehouse Cloud (and SAP Analytics Cloud) in a live environment.

Obviously it always better to be in Las Vegas for TechEd, but I must say that this virtual studio event was very well setup and executed by SAP. And, the best thing about virtual events is that you can watch specific content on demand whenever you want. So check the replay of our session below.

Video: SAP Analytics Cloud Data Analyzer [2019.14]

SAP Analytics Cloud version 2019.14 introduces a new cool feature: the Data Analyzer. With the Data Analyzer we can instantly report on BEx Queries in SAP Analytics Cloud, without having to create a model first (don’t panic, HANA views are also on the roadmap). For those who have used the Lumira Designer “Generic Analysis Template” or the BEx Web Analyzer this will all look very familiar. So time to check it out in a short video!

Video: SAP Analytics Cloud Roambi – Pulse template [2019.4 preview]

In this video I give a walkthrough of Roambi on SAP Analytics Cloud. Roambi is SAP’s mobile first solution for BI and is a separate app in addition to the already existing SAP Analytics Cloud Mobile app. The latter one supports SAC stories and digital boardrooms, while Roambi has its own document format based on predefined templates.

In this video I demonstrate the Roambi Pulse template. Full availability of Roambi and all its templates is expected later in 2019.

SAP Analytics Cloud Usage Tracking Content

A huge update in SAP Analytics Cloud wave 2018.17 for platform administrators! It is now finally possible to get more insights in the actual usage of your SAP Analytics Cloud environment. Who is using which story at what time. Furthermore, we can now easily see relations between SAC objects. For example, what roles and teams are assigned to a certain user.

This data is made available via a couple of built-in models and you can create your own stories for reporting on it. This is a huge step forward, as before we had to make manual exports of the Activity data into CSV files, clean the data and use MS Excel (or import the data again into SAP Analytics Cloud) to do an analysis. Also we could use the SAC API to get information about objects. Anyway, it was not very convenient to do this on a daily base.
